This week, Danish adventurer Anders Lehmann began an extraordinary journey of more than 2,200 kilometres from Copenhagen to Tellaro, Italy. Travelling in a specially adapted electric wheelchair that he controls with his chin, he wants to demonstrate that a physical disability does not have to define what is possible.
Intercel is proud to support this expedition by providing two Cellpower CLF lithium batteries as part of the mobile power system that keeps Anders independent throughout the journey.

Inspiring others to chase ambitions
More than 25 years ago, Anders suffered a diving accident that left him paralysed from the neck down. Since then, he has continued to pursue adventures many people would consider impossible.
He has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, travelled through more than twenty countries and now sets out on what is expected to become the first 2,200 kilometre journey across Europe in a chin-controlled electric wheelchair. His goal is simple: to inspire others to chase ambitions that may seem out of reach.
Reliable energy for freedom
For someone who depends on an electric wheelchair every day, battery power is not simply about convenience. It is about freedom and independence.
During the expedition, Anders carries a complete mobile energy solution consisting of lithium batteries, chargers, an inverter and supporting equipment. The two Cellpower CLF batteries supplied by Intercel provide reliable energy storage, allowing the wheelchair to be charged even when no suitable charging point is available.
The route takes Anders through Denmark, Germany, Austria and Italy, exposing both the traveller and the equipment to long distances, varying terrain and changing weather conditions.

Real-world validation
The expedition also provides valuable practical experience. Mobile battery systems are tested under demanding real-life conditions where reliability is essential. The insights gained during the journey may contribute to future improvements in battery solutions for applications where dependable power cannot fail.
Technology that enables people
At Intercel, we believe batteries are about much more than storing energy. They enable people to keep moving.
Whether supporting businesses with energy storage systems or helping someone travel across Europe in an electric wheelchair, reliable battery technology creates independence and opens new possibilities.
We wish Anders a safe journey and look forward to following his adventure over the coming weeks.
