Hybrid setup with peakshaving
In a hybrid setup, a Mobile Energy Storage System is combined with a diesel generator. By using peakshaving, the battery system absorbs short power peaks, allowing the generator to operate at a constant and optimal load level.
This prevents inefficient ramp-up and downscaling, enabling the generator to run at a lower, fuel-efficient setting. As a result, fuel consumption and emissions are significantly reduced, sometimes up to 90%, depending on the load profile and application.
Hybrid setups are especially effective where generators cannot be fully eliminated, but efficiency, emissions and noise must be improved.
