How does an energy storage system work?
An energy storage system (ESS) stores electrical energy when supply exceeds demand and releases it when extra power is needed. The system converts electricity into chemical energy within battery cells and reverses this process when discharging. Combined with smart control and monitoring, it balances energy flows, stabilises the grid and reduces peak loads. Whether connected to solar panels, wind turbines or the utility grid, an ESS ensures that energy is always available. Safely, efficiently and exactly when it’s needed.
For whom is an energy storage system?
An energy storage system is ideal for businesses that consume a lot of power, experience strong demand peaks or depend on uninterrupted operations. However, these days energy storage is not just for large industrial users. Due to growing grid congestion, even smaller businesses, such as farms, workshops or local production sites, benefit from storing their own energy. Cellpower energy storage systems (ESS) from Intercel are known for their high quality and long service life. They are designed for professionals engaged in applications such as peak shaving, off-grid power supplies and wind and solar energy storage. With several models to choose from, from an entry-level refrigerator-sized model to 5 MWh in a 20 ft container, you’ll always find a suitable model for your situation. Do you need an energy storage system of about 100 kWh, 200 kWh, 250 kWh, 300 kWh, 400 kWh or 5 MWh? Then you can achieve this with one of the available models. Do you need a different capacity? By combining systems we can put together the required capacity.
Cellpower energy storage systems are built with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries known for exceptional safety and longevity. With more than 9,000 cycles, the batteries offer long-term uptime and reliability. By simply adding more Cellpower systems, capacity can be easily scaled up as needs grow.
