Often, feeding back self-generated power is not possible due to increasing grid congestion. Increasing your own consumption is then a solution to use as much of your own energy as possible and depend less on the electricity grid. With smart devices, adapted internal processes, energy storage and energy management systems, you can increase your own use of generated energy. This way you avoid having to feed back to the grid and make optimal use of your sustainably and economically generated power yourself.

How do you ensure higher self-consumption?
To increase self-consumption as cost-effectively as possible, there are basically two ways. You shift consumption to the times of energy production or you ensure availability of your own power at the times of consumption. This can be done by storing energy from solar panels or wind turbines in a battery system so that it can be used at any time. Conversely, an energy management system allows you to run appliances during peak hours of energy production. This can be done, of course, with smart, programmable devices and machines.
