Marker Wadden

Marker Wadden completely independent of the grid

The artificial island Marker Wadden in the Markermeer has been constructed for nature conservation and restoration. By constructing the nature island with sand, clay and silt from the Markermeer, new nature will develop. Both under and above water. The island is completely self-sufficient and independent of what happens on the mainland. This of course includes an off-grid power supply. This power supply is made possible by the 240 kWh container with batteries supplied by Intercel. A beautiful energy storage project that we are proud of!
